San Juan 2008

These are some of the photos I shot  in Pedregalo Malaga.

San Juan is a big party on the beach for the Spanish.

Like Gordon and Vincent I will be adding to our blog.

Enjoy!

Sherman Robertson at Antequera Blues Festival

Last Friday I shot Connie Lush and Sherman Robertson at the Antequera Blues Festival. Great fun!! good atmosphere and grrrreat music. They kindly allowed me to put a Nikon sb-800 speedlight up in the left light-truss while i put another sb-800 on shoulderlevel at the right corner of the stage. I set the power on 1/4 power to give me quick recharges and plenty of flashes. You keep the nice ambient colorful light and have a crisp edgy image that is actually sharp at a low iso value. Both flashes were triggered by elinchrome skyports so nobody triggered my flashes with theirs. This works flawless. I shot this image at 80mm f5,6 1/180th at 400 iso. The color one is not processed yet, the splittone ) I processed in Lightroom
Hope you like it

angel

I made Angel in a fairly simple light set up. basically just used a ministudio 600 kw with an umbrella and another one with snoot and grid for the background

postprocess has been accomplished in lightroom

Ok,

New blog, all about photography and related stuff. As a team Anda-Luz we are still struggeling to all access the blog :-). But we are getting there. Thanks to Phil for his first entry the blog officially started. Paul is trying hard to sign in and the others Pablo, Pepo and Gordon will follow I presume.

Recently my life changed concerning the use of flashes. I came across this blog strobist.blogspot.com....truly amazing stuff. Its all about using small strobes like the nikon Sb-800 and its counter canon speedlight. It changed me so much on assignments, no more heavy (for me) and intimidating (for client) big monoheads and packs. just 2 stands and two sb-800 will do the trick. I found that this big usa corporate photographer David Tejada is using it and also Nat geographic Joe McNally...not the tiniest photogs outthere.

Anyway find it out for yourselves

Pretty soon we have our shared exhibition in Ateneo and I hope to promote this blog there as well as seeing people there

Thats it for now, take it easy and get well soon
